Fishback Unveils Plan to Eliminate Homestead Property Tax

James Fishback unveiled the centerpiece of his affordability agenda: a plan to completely eliminate property taxes on homestead properties in Florida. "Floridians shouldn't be taxed out of their own homes," Fishback declared at a rally in Jacksonville. "You work your whole life to buy a house, and then you have to keep paying the government just to live in it? That's not ownership. That's renting from the state."
